Well, if Stapel doesn't want to play, who are we to still try and force him to do so?
But I just wanted to voice my disappointment for the arguments used, since I for one know at least one player who still thinks this game is one of the most exciting he has ever played in, with plenty of different aspects coming into play. By quitting, the fun would be ended for that player in a flash as well. Btw, perhaps one of the newer folks on CDZ could step in? Would also be a nice chance for them to become part of PBEM history, since this still is the longest running PBEM civ ever...

Well, I can understand your sentiments on this... but even if the scenario you are sketching here would be the truth (can't speak on that matter for myself, I'm afraid), it would still be disappointing if you'd decide to quit, after all the time and investment made by all players so far to reach this game.
As matrix says, finding a replacement could be difficult.

Then please play. Remember that peaceful turns take the shortest amount of time.
(Though perhaps that's because I practically don't micromanage.)

ProPain, perhaps you should consider a replacement player. You've almost been here from the beginning, but this is seriously getting out of hand. If we discuss the boringness of this game, the pace is my #1 issue...
Perhaps if the Iroquois gets a new leader, Stapel's problem might be dealt with at the same time.

Erm... I've not read any spoilers from this game. I've only read what is on this page.

To fuel possible paranoia in Kemal, I must say that I might have heard Erikk and PP talk
or I might not Who knows?

If they have been talking, at least PP's mind was still with the game... please PP play, or at least let us know what is happening. I haven't gotten any replies at my attempts to contact you about it..
edit: hmm, re-reading this post... I do not mean to be rude as I know PP has spent lots of time on this game and very much has been on it with his mind, and I also would hate to see someone else step in for such a longtime regular. However, I suppose we are all just curious about the reason for the delay, whihc could be perfectly valid of course.
