Whoa! We are at war with everybody! Lets go kick some ass..
Why are only 2 cities building units? Because we need the libraries and temples guess.
They will all complete in just a few turns, so I let it go.
Change Bad-tibira from market to courthouse.

IT.
Egypt sends a med inf and archer towards us.
Spain moves a warrior and 2 archers to our borders.
A Dromon arrives at the shore.
A Gallic sword moves into attack range.

1: 30 AD
Lagash builds a library and starts a temple.
Kish builds Pike and starts a med inf
Veteran sword attacks regular Gallic sword. The Celtic coward retreats.

IT.
Another Gallic sword appears and attacks, but dies attacking our veteran sword (-2)
Spain moves 3 arches and 1 warrior into our territory.
2 more Spannish arches appear.
A Numidian Mercenary arrives.
Egypt invades with the med inf and archer.
The Byzantines beg for peace... only in your dreams!
The Iroquois founded Oka south of Erech. Iroquois? yikes! We have not met yet!

IT.
A Numidian mercenary attacks an Ekidu, but loses (-2).
Agade riots.. oops.
Temples and libraries finish. The cities start on units.
Another NuMerc appears.
Egypt sends a lone spear, while Spain sends a stack of 2 warriors and 1 archers.
The Celts send 4 Gallics our way! yikes!
The Byzantines land an archer near Isin.

3: 70 AD
Elite sword - reg Byzantine arches wins.
Bombarding the Gallic swords... score! 2 out of 4.
Elite sword - reg Gallic sword (2).. the Celtic coward retreats.
I do not attack the other Gallics as I can not cover the exposed units.
No contact with the Iroq yet.

Total losses: 0

IT.
Two French Horsemen appear next to Zabalam.
Another NuMerc arrives and the Egyptians send a pike.
The Byzatines send another archer.
Two wounded Gallics fortify while another one moves next to Umma.
The fourh Gallic retreats.
Spain moves the warrior / archer stack into our territory and send 2 more archers.

4: 90 AD
We could use some fast units, but we have no horses! no horses visible too. This can become a problem.
Bombard a NuMerc.. score! 2 out of 3.
Vet med ing - reg NuMerc (1) wins.
Bombard the French horses... score! 1 out of 2.
Elite sword - reg French horse wins (-1)
Vet sword - reg French horse (2) wins (-1)
Bombard the Spanish stack... score! 2 out of 2.

We meet the Iroq, but they have nothing to trade.

Our golden age will end soon. We are paying a lot of gold per turn on unit maintenance.
I think that when the GA ends our economy will crash!
We need more cities fast, therefor I think grabbing the furs site from the Celts is a priority.
We have enough units down there to do the job. Don't forget to build a road to the furs.

What would really make all the difference would be an army.We're at 210 A.D. with plenty of combat but no M.G.L.We're bound to get one soon and my advice would be to form a sword army and build the heroic epic.Once the G.L's start coming we can form several armies and attack/pillage our neighbours.The R.N.G has been against us in giving M.G.L's.Pillaging is the name of the game but untill we get the wherewithall,we're stuffed.
I expect Beam to get an M.G.L.If he doesn't then Gawd Bless Us.

Yeah, but what I could not do is expand!
We need a city at the furs south of Umma fast! Not only for the lux, but also to push back the Celts and drop unit maintenance costs - it is sky high!

Couldn't agree more Banzai. I just managed to destroy Gergovia and a settler can build a new city on the furs soon.

Not only is unit maintenance sky-high, it is maintenance for weak units. We should have used our income from the GA for upgrades. I am stuck now with loads of EW and Swordies and about +4gpt at 10.0.0. Can't say I'm enjoying it atm.
