Turn 145:
I had no troubles this time. And this turn I made use of the Great Lighthouse I captured from the Celts: 9.75KB I made a lot of money selling the contact and my new world map. The world map was obtained from the Ottomans by selling Code of Laws |

Turn 149: I'm at tech parity after making a 2fer1 with Greece and Egypt. A couple of RoP's added a bit of money to the treasure.
In the mean time I'm building up my army. I may take out a Roman city to trigger the GA. But probably a GA is better planned in the early industrial age. |

Thanks anarres. I'll have to make sure that I'm strong enough. So I have to order a couple of riders.
Turn 155: Rome just got a few cities north of me, far away from the capital. So these are corrupt cities that I gladly will capture to ensure that the eastern part of the continent is mine. |

Turn 155 to 165:
- Found a few cities - Keep up in tech. At this moment only Rome and Greece are doing something you can call research. The rest is lagging. - Build up an army Turn 165: I've got about 15 riders and still a deal going on with ERIKK (until turn 170). Then this appears: 63.05KB That's funny, because I was perparing an invasion in the northeast myself. I happily stick to that plan: 38.77KB My income jumps to 110 gpt, allowing me to by gunpowder from Greece. |

Turn 173:
The last town in "New China" is captured. I get this as a bonus: 37.58KB Here's my newly conquered land: 62.87KB Having reached my goal, I make peace with the Romans. They give me a great discount on Navigation with it. |

Turn 175:
ERIKK seems to dislike my recent progress, so he decides to buy MA's with Rome and Greece vs me. These are the two strongest nations of the world. My income jumps to 315 gpt, because Greece was my biggest trading partner. That idiotic country loses 120 gpt from me and I bet that ERIKK only payed something like 15 gpt. The AI is plain stupid. Let's see if I can resist the Greek forces for about 5 turns. The Romans were no threat the last time, so why should they be now? 51.08*KB |

Turn 177: ERIKK now also has Korea and Egypt join the war. Since Korea and Egypt are weak, he only does it to prevent me from trading. Luckily I have a lot of luxuries myself. I haven't seen a single Greek unit yet. I already had a bolster vs the Greeks (they can't be trusted anyway) and now i'm sending reinforcements. I try to defend myself and make peace ASAP. But will not hesitate to let the Greeks feel what they are up to.
I'm not going to reverse the situation and have MA's vs him. I hope that ERIKK respects that. If not, no problem. |

Turn 180: ERIKK surprises me. He decides to join the war. My saltpeter town is in immediate danger. To prevent war weariness (the town is lost), I abandon it:
10.03*KB I retreat. If ERIKK has more knights coming, I'm in deep trouble. I could fight ERIKK if he were alone, but Greece is also very strong. |
