I put the old site back up and checked. Has the same problem

I think it has to do with our backward VB version, the good VB folks are at 5.0 already atm. Will look into the consequences of migrating the forum.

It will have impact though, VB5 has it's own CMS so it will kill the current frontpage and introduce. Although I read I CBMS and VB CMS can coexist I dont really like that idea. And the 'old' frontpage content wont be lost, that will live on in the forum where it is now.

BUt that will be something for the near future.

EDIT: 1.4 GB of pics uploaded in a jiffy. Server has a quick connection and my own fibre connection wasnt too shabby either.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!

I see some pics didnt make it to the new site. It only some of the pre 2008 pics so no real biggie but I'm pretty sure I have that data backed up elsewhere too so I'll try to fix that.

Payment isn't really an issue at the moment. I'm renting this server space at...brace yourselves.....

€ 1,49 a month (about US$2,-)

And that's including VAT

I must say I'm totally amazed at the speed and service they're offering for this rate. Server performs better than the €200/month server we were renting before and support has answered all my tickets within a few minutes even at 11 pm.

I'm pretty sure this ISP is a one man show, I'm wondering when this guy sleeps.

If we want/need to upgrade to VB 5, we'll be facing a $250 - $350 one time fee. I'll be going around with the virtual hat when that time comes around.

Good find! Concerning vB upgrades: perhaps it's worth looking into safety features. I've seen a lot of fora getting hacked into lately, and that'd be a pity.

That's why I put want/need. I suspect we need to upgrade to maintain a decent security level. I dont see any imminent reason to want an upgrade.

EDIT: just solved the calender issue as well
