So I finally managed to install an avatar mod, it took lots of editing asp files and finger crossing.

I have to manually add avatars from URL's, or upload them from my hard drive, or ProPain can do it too.

To get a URL added to the list of available avaters either post a URL here or email the file to ProPain or myself.

It is also possible to make your avatar exclusive to yourself, so let us know if this is the case.

Any size constraints?

In the avatar settings I can set then to 64 pixels or 96 (or smaller), and it appears that they all get stretched to this size (and maybe shrunk if they are bigger).

Which size would people prefer? At 64x64 your CFC avatar would look fairly normal, but at 96x96 you can have a bigger avatar...

Size doesn't matter ...
ok, I'm kidding. Personally, I'd rather prefer a fast page, so 64x64. Otherwise, the images will be drawn from browser cache anyway, after loading once. I might also turn off images in my browser, if I want it real fast, so 94x94 for the fun of it.

I'm undecided/indifferent.

Nope. When I right click on it and look at properties mine says 64x64.

ERIKKs avatar has stretched to fit as well, I will investigate stopping this from happening.

That's interesting.
I do the same with Opera 7.01 and it keeps saying 65 x 58 pixels.
and for Erikk's 65 x 49 pixels

Otherwise, if I look at the html it says:
img src="Avatars/Anarchy.jpg" width="64" height="64"
??
But wait, maybe this are the original dimensions of your images?

BTW: couldn't register with Opera. Had to use IE.

If you know the link of your avatar then link it, but if not sending me the image is fine.
