@shabba: I'll keep the old forum up so people can post/PM me here shoudl they run into the problem and put up a post to start warning people to check their email adresses before we move.

@shabba/Paal: solved I suppose?

@ matrix: not really cause I made a small mistake moving them instead of copying them so they'll be back in here quickly. My mistake.

PM's interesting that the to/from addies are switched, nothing much I can do about that I fear, will do a quick search run on the VB support forum but worst case we'll have to move without our old pm's

@Darkness: That's fixable, will put it on the list. Can only do that after the final import though (depends on VB settings) so won't do it on this trial VB.

PP. I guess. Though noted that there is a difference of 4 threads, and I havent had time to locate what's "missing", since I am on father's leave taking care of my daughter, so feeding her came in the way

My forum has some weird things - for one thing there are a LOT of double posts once you hit page 5 of 'Meet...'. Can be deleted easily, though.

@Paal: It might be they're just not showing up, because it only shows the thread which has posts of the last month.

@matrix: little edit on those smilies, I'll be doing some tests to get those fixed.

@paal: I would really appreciate if you (or some other CDZ member ) would try and identify those missing threads. Impex says all therads are imported and I would like to know if that info is correct

@ killer: when I did a check on dupe posts, typically 1.5%-2% of posts would be identified as duplicate and removed but the whole import failed due to the heavy load this check was causing. There's an option to do the duplicate check after import, will see if that works and is less time intensive.

I figured out what's causing the "missing" threads in Paal's forum: stickied threads aren't counted. There are 38 threads there as well. You won't find them in the subforum: "Showing threads 21 to 34 of 34". But there are 4 stickied threads as well. In the forum overview the number of threads is listed correctly.

@ killer: interesting double post thingie, I suspect that some sort of server glitch cause one batch of 2000 posts to be imported twice. I'll try the remove duplicate post feature tomorrow morning when things are usually quiet around here and see what happens.

Agree with S-man. Manually counted them now, and there are 38 of 38. I also found a few cases of double posts. No biggie...

PP, thanks again for solving my password problem. As for the DPs: I think there is no harm in them, as anyone with a spoiler forum can just click all the boxes and delet ethm in one go for each thread. So if the auto-remove fails - so what? We can stadn the spam

@killer: well, I have to look into the consequences of having double post and removing import id's as I suspect we then run the risk of having posts with the same id (import id's are added during the import process to maintain database consistency). Usually posts sharing the same id will result in weird forum behaviour and we wouldnt want that. Otoh maybe we can just maintain the import id's and leave the whole thing be if that can be done without any harm.

@shabba: great job on the sticky threads!
