@Paal: I have a little menu in the lower right corner of the forum. If you don't have that I suspect that's only available for 'super mods'as VB calls em altough it clearly says 'mod' I'll post a screenie later.

@Shabba: ofc you'll get admin rights after the transition. And great you're willing to pick up that task!

@Krys: changing username is an option but it can't be done by users themselves I believe. I also wouldnt be an advocate of makeing that a useroption as things could become extremely confusing when you cant recognise a user anymore. So if you wanna change your name I see no big problems beforehand but I think we should make some arrangements to communicate it clearly.

@Krys: Atm I think tomorrow/wednesday would be a good moment to change depending on one final test with regard to the double posts. I'll do an announcement on this today.

OK, I'll tell you when/if I make up my mind.

@ Matrix : Nah, I'll still be lurking and posting a bit. I'm not "off".

You'll still be welcome to call me krys. I just want to get rid of this Polish-Russian-ish-inspired username. Doesn't suit me anymore.

Well, you can call yourself "Socrates in disguise" if you'd like.

That will save us all some headaches when typing your name as well

I fixed the double post issue and most other issues are resolved as well or will be after the move.

The one thing that remains is the switched addies in the PM's. I'd like to see a screenie of that cause my PM's all converted fine.

Funny. The hidden fora are really hidden, I can't even see them. They're in the admin control panel, but I haven't found how to make them visible.

It's kind of strange that to post a quick reply, one must first click that button on the bottom right side of a post. Is there any way to make the quick-reply box available all the time?

Also, I'm going to hold my breath until Shabba tells us how to turn on the avatars

You can add avatars in the user control panel. It's not that difficult. If you ever managed to upload an avatar at "that other site", I'm sure you can manage here as well.

About quick replies: yes, that's possible, but vB specifically warns not to do that. It's annoying for sure, so I'm keeping it in consideration. But first I've to find out what'd be harmed exactly by enabling the quick reply box. Apparently "the system" can't keep track of what the reply was replied to, potentially screwing up the thread.

You are probably able to change your avatar, because you're an admin, but we can't. (See attachment.)
