I just PM'ed Kemal and he seemed very surprised that they still have the turn. Looks like it might be a good idea to message the teams after 24 hours or so to see what's going on.

BTW, even though I realize that some people can't play one weekends, it is kinda unacceptable that we loose 2 out of 7 days. I recommend those teams who don't have a "weekend player" get one.

The last save I have is dated the 25th of October and it is send by A-team. Milfhunters should play soon. I'm posting a "please play" message in their forum.

Yep, this is long overdue. I strongly suggest to all teams that have problems playing the turns (even or especially on weekends) look for other players.
Looks like we have to start skipping turns now...

Whoopsie!

Played and sent.

I have to admit I don't really care much about this PBEM anymore. [undecide]

I noticed we have had the save in our possession for quite some time now, apologies for not responding sooner.

Speaking on behalf of the whole Bhd of Nod team, we'd like to formally withdraw from this game, other people can either take over our civ, or Rik could skip us entirely or retire us from the game.
We unfortunately can no longer promise and guarantee the swiftness of play required to keep this one going smoothly.

Keeping such a game running while you're not prepared to invest in it as much as should is not the way to continue, and to respect the wishes of those that do wish to continue this game, removing us from the roster might be the best method of speeding up the game. While sending and playing saves now is still a small matter, once diplo gets going, having an inactive team present will only do the game harm, and will be an unwanted and unfair element.

Keeping this in mind, our team quitting now is probably in the best interest of all involved, especially since it is known that not all are infected with the civ4-virus, and might want to keep playing this one.

The Bhd of Nod team.

You're probably as active as Killer and I are. I don't know what's best: back out or play passively. I guess we'd better back out as well.

But this is just a major bummer for the rest of you, especially Markstar. It was such a good idea...

I think the idea is still very strong, but the material we are working with is obsolete, imho. And I'm very sorry about this, but I can't change my feelings on that. Which is why we'd like to opt out, to prevent massive harrassment and an uneven playing field because of an inactive, demotivated team.

Playing a turn every once a week (that was about the average rate) is hardly that time consuming.. it's just that I believe it is no fun for all parties involved if it goes that way.
