CDZ pitboss game - Page 88

I restarted the uploader.

It's been confirmed by Azzaman and Beam that BtS installation breaks WL/vanilla pitboss multiplayer. As soon as someone participating in this game tells me they've installed BtS (or need to bring in a sub and can't find a BtS-free one), I'm going to take the game down pending resolution/patch availability.

That's certainly an option, but not one I'm going to suggest everyone does until I have a sense that the standalone patches either are or are not going to be showing up in the next few days.

crap...this game is in its last weeks(2 or 3 left). What if eveyone just waits to install BtS till its over. That will solve the problem. I am gogin to have to dual install since i have too many straggling PBEMS and 2 pitbosses But I wont attempt it till after this game ends.

Given that I have other games in similar predicaments, I'm tentatively figuring on taking this one down as well until everyone and the server have been patched up. I for one don't want to wait two weeks to install BtS particularly as I am trying to get a BtS MP game fired up ASAP.

Well as we can all patch up no whenever that doesn't matter so much, im just waiting to be told when ID is planning on patching

If we want to do that, then we should get a date when the game will be pulled (say, Monday) and then the game will only restart once everyone checks in to say they have patched. That way, we avoid some unintended skips, etc.

Yeah. Though ID has reported at evg its not as easy to patch his pitboss games as it is for us (the comps their running on etc) so we may have to wait till he gets bts/the standalone patches come out.

Well, tbh, being so close to the end, I'd prefer to not patch at all.
