Default KoD october 2005

Being at home a lot lately I started playing civ3 again. SP mode so I can easily leave it for a few days when needed.

Soon I discovered my skills are quite rusty and I was having trouble keeping up in deity mostly because my military development was crap. So I started a game where I forbid myself to expand by settlers. Apart from the capital all expansion should be done by conquest. Or simply put:

- extra rule: not allowed to build settlers.

First time I made a stupid mistake and was hammered. This game is progressing nicely. I even have the feeling I'm keeping up much more easily than when I expand by myself

For those who wanna give this game a shot:

Something I wouldn't have suspected from you. Oh wait, I think I get it now (as I'm typing this). Did you get some "baby-holidays" ? But wait, aren't you your own boss anyway ?

Mmmh, maybe I could give this a shot too, don't know. I wanted to play a GOTM at civfr.com after my 2 victories during summer, but they got some games with accelerated production now. Do you want us not to build settlers too ? Goal is to win as fast as possible ?

Please, can you zip the save so it can be downloaded. It is interesting if this is playable on Deity.

zipped the file and uploaded it.

- It's only playable on deity, as I just start a game instead of making one in the editor
- Settlers: Would be most fun when everybody would adhere to that rule
- Goal: I play it rather leisurely, but of course fastest finish would be very interesting to know.
