Play Civ at school!!

Well most of us here at CDZ haven't been in the school benches for a while and things have definitely changed! I stumbled on this article about the use of computer games in the classroom and there's an interesting bit about playing the Civ4 Age of Conquest mod as a tool for learning about history.

Wish I was in school again!

At least it seems most americans have learned geography with a random continents map

I've read that article now, and it's pretty good. There are some strategy games mentioned that I've never heard of. Maybe it's worth looking into.
BTW, the Total War series does have diseases. I always thought it was pretty funny to send your own spies into plagued cities and then send them to uninfected cities. Sort of a Pandemic minigame. If you can pull it off it's a lot easier to conquer the Americas.
