Here is another MesoAmerican PBEM that I am playing. This time I m playing as the Aztecs.

My oppenets are qummik (Incan) and Salte (Mayan)

Here is my palace as of this turn. The People love me so much that they have given me a beautiful palace.

Since we are in turn 99 we are all advanced. Most of the Humans have just about every tech needed. Part of my agreement with the Incans (qummik) I researched Blood cult and he was to give me Medicine in Return. But he gave me an extra tech, which make me happy.

Since I now have all the techs i need, I will now focus on getting money as much as posible. With many cities I will try and get them above 12 so that i can have extra free unit support nd thus I will have a larger army. Once I have enough large cities, I will then Mobilize for war so the untis will be even quicker to build.

Here is a zoomed out view of my civ.

Here is a screenie of a city that has caused me lots of problems trying to overtake it. I have failed at two attemps.

I will give a bit of back ground to this war. This war was started over the sneak attack of the Mayans enslaving three of my previously enslaved workers from my victory over the Olmecs. The Olmecs stood no chance against my army. Enough about the Olmecs. So far this war has been a stalemate, so I will try and have an even larger stack of doom this time have two fronts on which I will be attacking from. I need to be able to distract the Mayan Forces so that one, hopefully two attacks will work. As a result of the Attack, i ws able to convince the Incans to be join me in an alliance where we will both be attacking the Mayan, since they are the aggressors. Here is a view of the foriegn advisors screen.

There is only one AI left and they have two cities which I assuem will fall very soon. I shall now go in greater depth with my war against the Olmecs. They were the weakest of all the civs, they only had three cities for me to take over. It did not take me too long for me run them over and get my border facing with the Mayans. They did not have much of a defence force. I was making plans to attack May, but they did it first. But I was willing to him, bbut he did it first.

Here is a Wonder screenie.

I'm not sure you can win against Maya on our own without seeking help from Inca. They seem to be very powerful with all these wonders. Temple of the Sun is really a game breaker. What is the cultural situation? It might be well possible that Maya can try to win with cultural victory before you two overwhelm them with your military.

Things have changed with this game. In the space of a few turns The Aztec and Mayan Nations are no firm friends, that is because we both face a big threat as the Incans are almost about to run awy with the game being close the domination limit. So it is beneficial to both teams that we do not attack each other but limit the threat of the Incan Army.

That is the usual fear in this scenario. But you would have trouble delivering troops to Inca. I'd say it is straight impossible since there is no RoP agreement in this scenario iirc. You'd have to use ships to bring troops to Inca and the ships are slow and expensive. Another iirc, if Maya would settle Central America and be able to defend it against Inca, that would essentially prevent Inca from Domination but only by a tiny margin.

I have just lost this game. Salte had lots of Workers to sacrifice in Chichen Itza and that got him across the line with a One city Cultural Victory.
