Kempro vs anarSky "Clash of the Titans"
Following a challenge from "poldermodel players" ProPain and Kemal, Perfid Albion anarres and chauvinistic Skyfish took up the challenge and teamed up in what will hopefully turn out to be an epic PBEM
Here are the map conditions : Players : I have decided on player order according to when people usually play turns (Matrix's system) : - ProPain : Player 1/admin -> Ottomans (Team Kempro) - Skyfish : Player 2 -> China (Team anarSky) - Kemal : Player 3 -> Greece (Team Kempro) - anarres : Player 4 -> Russia (Team anarSky) Map parameters: Land form : Pangea Size : Random Climate : Wet OR Temperate (NO arid) Temperature, age, barb level. : All Random Difficulty : Deity No AI civs Specific requests : Teammates should be fairly close to each other but with both enough room to expand. Preferably both facing the other team rather than have one player facing both ennemies or one facing one with 2 others in the background (do I make any sense ? The 2 teams should be also separated to allow early unhindered expansion. __________________________________________________ __________ Some points on the rules : 1: Are team members allowed to play each other's turns ? Yes 2: Should the map be made by the Map Makers ensuring team mates are close to each other? Yes 3.Will only "team results" be valid ?(i.e preventing possibility of nasty internal backstabbing) Yes 4.Should there be any AIs ? In this game we have no AIs : sse the logs of the dicussion below... 5.What's the play order? A-B-A-B, that is alternating team members. 6. Will contact be allowed before teammates meet? Yes. Additional rules I would like introduced are the following : - Ban of the "far Palace/FP exploit" - Ban of the "settler creep exploit" - Ban of the "deficit research exploit" where ONLY a building and a worker gets destroyed per turn even when running huge gpt deficit with 0 gold. Please react if its a problem and if we need to add antyhing else... __________________________________________________ ______ I will post some chosen extracts of the discussions that occured in an MSM chat concerning the setting up of the game : it got quite heated to say the least

The KemPro team would like to add the following rule to the set proposed by the anarsky team:
Put a ban on the exploitative feauture of "leader farming" which arises in team games, meaning one player builds cheap units only for his team member to slaughter and get free leaders on. As the impact of leaders in Civ3 is so great, this would massively change the way the game is intented to be played. As for the other rules you propose, the KemPro team can agree with those. (Or at least this half of the team can).

No leader farming is OK by me. In essence this means we can never be at war with each other - that means no war declarations and no MPP's (although they are useless anyway).
