Next turn!
Anarres made peace with the Persians. Now that's not what we want. After a short conversation with my good friend Xerxes he agreed to ally against the egyptians again. This at the staggering costs of 18gpt but it's for a just cause Anarres also had something to say about it: 21.91KB I guess that's his way of saying he isn't pleased.

Anarres offered me polytheism when I would stop setting up the Zulus and Persians against him. Explained him that would be very unsensible from my point of view. Also the great library is near my borders and Hamu is already prepared to pay for peace. I'm gonna make a run for that wonder so don't need techs from Anarres.

Well I think that was all a miscommunication then. Doesnt matter, got your save and will upgrade tonight.
on the game vs Anarres I dont plan on letting him get any rest. He made peace with the zulus however and they just demand to much money. Romans declared war on the zulus in an alliance with the persians. Babs allied against me with the iroquois. Couldn;t care less since hiawatha is far away on an island. Will build some more home land defense however.

Things have been progressing like they did before.
Standard Routine Anarres makes peace with the zulus/persians -> I bribe em to go to war again -> I receive MSN message that's not suitable for our younger visitors. Anarres' war Anarres has taken Arbela from the Persians I really don't understand how he pulled that of. Doesn't matter I'm gonna stick with the bribing as long as I can afford it. Currently it's costing me a lousy 30gpt for both Persians and Zulus. I can easily handle 40 gpt even more when both of em connect their harbors to their capitals again, because I can pay in lux also. Right now each peace deal increases the alliance cost with 2/3 gpt. I'm guessing 4 more peace deals without lux will be possible maybe more when the war against Babs goes well. My war I started the invasion of babylon. Took Kish with little casualties. Hamurabi is friendly enough to send in his troops in small parties. I've taken out at least 10 units and lost maybe 2/3 myself. Retreat is a brilliant characteristic! Hamu allied with Hia against me, which meant he didn't want to make peace without payment. After the loss of Kish that changed again. I'm aiming for the razing Ur and the capture of Ashur (great lib) maybe more if losses aren't too heavy. Other civs I suspect Anarres allied with the romans against the zulus, with triggered a wave of alliances (including babs/iro against me) Currently the world is at war. I'll post some new screenies when I got my turn back!!

Final Turns!
As most of you know by now anarres resigned. I'll post some screenies and final developments to complete the thread. Anarres and I picked up our game friday night around turn 103. As soon as I got it and studied it (been 3 weeks or so) I started my planned assault on Izibia and took it. 101.91*KB (this screenshot was taken in turn105) Izibia itself wasnt that important but it had iron in its extended city radius which made it nice to have and it also wouldm ake negotiations with Hamu easier. I fought of some troops near Kish. Cost me about 4 horsemen and wounded some more to take a stack of 4 (2spears, 2 swords) on the hill next to Kish. Still my reinforcements were being build quickly so nothing much to worry about Anarres was stilling hanging in there. Really amazes me, considering he's weak compared to me and Xerxes is strong compared to me. turn104. Some deal with the Germans ends which frees up another 6 gpt. I'm making 18 gpt now and I'm paying Xerxes and Shaka an additional 30 gpt. I'd be rich if I wasnt paying for those MA!! Mothing much, healing troops in Kish. I kill a Iro archer that landed on the east coast in the IT. Maybe if Hiawatha sends more troops for me to slaughter, he'll be prepared to hand over Byblos for peace!! 105 - before I start the turn I receive an email from anarres: he resigns! Opened the turn anyway. In this turn I finished the 'Ur replacement settler' in Rheims and switched some more cities to military production. Pity its over, Ur would have been mine! Some screenies from turn 105 (450bc) french empire 239.34*KB babylonian front 165.73*KB The french expeditionary forces aproach Egypt This galley contains a lonely horseman for scouting purposes. 102.83*KB minimap 28.24*KB diplo screen lotsa war going on! 39.79*KB the end.
