You can choose to recieve email notification by clicking the 'Preferences' icon

in the Private Messaging screen.

Pop up notification is not needed IMO, the shiny red "1 new" thing is quite clearly arranged.

But, since it's possible to use links to uploaded files (btw, you could also even use img tags for improved PM-spamming

), would you mind including a direct upload feature (unless I missed this somehow)?

One request could the PM logo on each post (next to the Edit button) NOT be RED please? it really stands out much too much and hurts my eye

Isn't it already red?
(I'm a bit colour-blind though... but may we have something in common here)

I cant change the colour to Yellow, it goes automatically to White
