looks like this was a fun game guys! Dunno what's necessary to run a pitboss server but if it meets install reqs we could set up the CDZ server to host games as well if that would be convenient for you all.

Congrats to Darkness for winning the game! Nice to see an MP game run into the modern age.

That happens quite a lot with pitboss games. The more players, the longer it takes. In fact, I've only seen one pitboss end with a domination victory. (out of ten or so)

If Matrix is willing to host another game, then we might as well have more CDZ pitbosses running at the same time. I mean, Matrix hosting another wouldn't be a reason not to host one on the CDZ server if possible...

They take months anyway and some people might be killed early and then they'd still have another.

So, yeah RTW III would be a really great thing!

IIRC, all three pitbosses I have played in (and which have finished) have last til the modern age...

And the weather is getting colder, so Matrix can save money on room heating!

Perhaps a different map though? we all pretty much know the ins and outs of this map now. Exactly where to put cities for optimum growth etc. There is a Rhye's Europe map we could try that? its still huge just more focused on Europe?

If we need another host, preferably not me, but I know how hard it is to find another, so I'm available.

(I'm away from tomorrow till sunday, by the way.)

As I've told already to Rick, I have a spare laptop, can run some PB onto it, either ISDG final or RtW3. It should be OK on that machine and I'm not using it really. Actually, I have managed to connect from home but still it ain't stable enough to play in mauer's Texas PB game. Will try again tomorrow.

Once I move into my new place and get an internet connection (say, two weeks from now if everything goes as planned) my desktop could easily host a game and let me do whatever I want at the same time.

We could give the world map a rest, the europe map simon points out is a good one. Although i wouldn't mind a smaller map so we can get some action earlier
