Overpriced version of Civ5 coming up
No, I'm not talking about the regular edition or the pre-order special edition, but this:
That's right. You get it with a box Oh, and some tin soldiers to go with your book shelf. With a price tag of $100 it's practically free.

Why do they call it Civivation?

I saw that on Facebook. I don't think that it will be gracing my bookcase somehow.

I like the book, but the rest doesnt really interest me. $50 for just the book seems a bit steep to me.

Won't the book be outdated with the first patch?

I've heard it contains the first patch. We'll have to type and compile it ourselves, it was the only way to get the patch done before the holiday season.

Or probably you pay for a patch of the book itself. You have to replace some pages, though. Glue can be downloaded from Steam.

On a completely different note. What's that upper middle figurine anyway? It looks like some sort of mech warrior rip off. Are we gonna get future units with our future techs or am I totally misjudging the looks of that thing.

It sure looks like a mech. There's a gap between current knowledge and the stuff you research for spaceships (like fusion), it would be nice if there are some military units that are worthwhile pursuing for a military endgame. Otherwise it could be from a mod, but that doesn't make a lot of sense.

I hope it's from a future unit rather than a mod. It would be nice to have some units to play with beyond where we are now in the standard game.
