He he...

First make sure you keep keep up with the AI's. Getting all those free settlers is not the usual on Deity level. I always get shit from huts on Deity....

I met the Babs in turn 26 (2750BC) That doesnt make me happy, Hamu's far to trigger happy with those bowmen. I contact him he doesn't have alpha and pottery!!!! He has however Bronze working, cer. bur. and warrior code.

I trade him alpha and pottery for BW, CB and 10 gold

I'm pretty happy with that. Hopefully I'll meet another civ before hamu does

look at this: apparently there's more land to the south! and a wheat in the blue circle. Good news AFAIK. I'll settle on the grass and not the plain so I can cow share if necessary. Also I'll put a warrior next to the city so hamu cant pass.

Saw your discussion with anarres in a thread. Fo4 buying iron working and horsies. If you buy it from him for so much money you will:
- help him
- cripple yourself

If really need it fast buy it form th AI, otherwise research it fast yourself.

You will need your money later in the game for upgrades/embassys/buying alliances!

I'd rather buy it from the ai but they want more money. But as I said I can also get lucky and get them techs cheap when the ai suddenly demands tribute, i refuse and they declare war. My guess is my bab neighbours will do this soon enough. So I'm looking at my options. Maybe I buy HR from the Ai and research IW. or buy it a few turns later. gonna look at my turn 1st. Gonna post some screenies b4 lunch too!
