That probably means you didn't turn on "simultaneous moves". The password is a bit annoying if we have to fill that in every turn, so when you restart, please omit that.

Ok I had not seen the PM with the password. It worked fine. (apart for not being able to move.)

I recall a game a while ago where the units would not move. It had something to do with how the map was loaded.
I think the right way to do it is to start a multiplayer game with a custom scenario. If you put the map into the Worldbuild folder in the saves section it should be available. Beam or Matrix would be able to confirm it as they have hosted before

Got up this morning and found the PC had restarted itself, but sounds like we need a restart. I started the game as Robi said but didn't click simultaneous turns so that may be it. I'll give it another go.

All the PCs and the microwave reset themselves sometime this morning so it looks like I had a power cut/glitch.
I've restarted, without the password at the beginning and this time no one has the * on their names an I can move the units so it looks good to go! I've left Civstats as it was so any Civs claimed there will still be claimed. At least all the port fowarding part of the setup worked first time. For the second time (and hopefully the last): claim your Civs! |
