**LOSS** Tubby's slapfight with Mauer

This is a random civ4 PBEM start play with me and Mauer. Both of us claim that our ineptitude is stronger than the other. So this should be a true battle royale!!!

it looks like I'll have a whip happy capital. Any suggestions on how to maximize my start?

I started Meditation due in 8. I figure not many could keep up with my research and those that could wouldn't get to their turn before I did and thus I should get it.

well I've gotten Buddhism and am working toward Alpha to trade with Hatty (neighbor to the south connected by a river). I found Mauer and was able to come in from a direction that didn't indicate my location in reference to him.

Mauer is a Spaniard and has two warriors unpromoted in his 2 pop capital. He has a lot of forest around his land for me to hide in and with the Quencha's melee bonus and the forests to protect him, I doubt that he'll be able to extract me as a nuisance anytime soon

but you sitting in a forest really isnt doing that much when he could go work other tiles, i'd send another down there to screw things up for him

well I managed to get to Alpha first and am trading between Hatty and Lizzy to get all of the techs that they've been working on all of this time.

I have a couple Quenchas that are currently erradicating my holy Buddist lands from the scourge that is mauer. Hatty has had Buddha loving on her mind for a few centuries now
