I have done it again. I moved my settler to a hill 1 tile outside of my borders and I saw a panther 2 tiles away

sadly he died. Damn animals. I knew I was taking a risk and I got burned. I'm ~ 4 turns from Alpha and as far as I've been able to tell I could be the only one headed in that direction. I'm hoping that I can get caught up in techs with Writing and then use Alpha for later trading.

I have a tech deal pending with Robboo and BCLG and a permanent alliance with Darkness.

Here is the picture I promised. My Quencha just discovered Daveshack (the last player yet to meet) and is at the end of path in the fog. My settler was lost at the city location in the north. I even left the game connected all night with the settler having orders to build a city so that hopefully he'd get the city built before the panther struck.. but no luck for me. Just stupidity.

Darkness DAveshack and Igloo and I are in an alliance. everyone - Dave (too far away) tried to kill Matrix. Didn't succeed. Made peace. Robboo declared on me as the oportunistic little squat that he is. Fended off the attack only losing 1 city. Rebuilt that one plus 2 others with 1 settler donation from Darkness. Igloo re-declared on Matrix. I'm after a barb city. All is quiet.... too quiet.

Now Matrix is gone.. Igloo got 3 of his 5 cities. I got Beca and BCLG was gifted Custa City then turned around and declared war on Matrix.

Igloo and BCLG are getting ready to start fighting each other. I'll be holding off a while since I'm still building some units to catch up. I'm about 6 turns from Notre Dame. Right now only Akots/grahamiam have a tech that we don't and that's banking. Igloo was kind enough to gift me some hephalumps. So I'm gonna build a few war elephants.

ynnek planted a city a few tiles from Colored Cows. so I'm not sure where the next military campaing will be. So I'm roading a lot of tiles to help facilitate troop movements if necessary. My capital hasn't grown in quite a while. I'm not sure why. It was about to grow and then I rushed something and I've been stuck on 30/30 food for a few turns. I wonder if it's a bug and it's still trying to get to 32 food, but another routine maxes it out at 30.
