Is there a web version of Civilization? (like for Risk there is Conquer Club)

Isn't civ1 freeware by now? I know (almost for sure) that at least colonization is. It's even a better game than civ...

there's freeciv. www.freeciv.org been around for ages. Not really a webbased version but free and with online multiplayer options
