How does Pitboss work? Do I run it first before starting Civ4 or after?

Cos if I start it first then it crashes [

Warlords with the latest patch sounds promising (unlike the bare version), but I'm trying to figure out how to play under Linux, and I wish I'd never buy something only runnable on Windows. If I find out someday, I hope I get to play one game with you.

Trying to run the downloadable PitBoss app for non-Warlords Civ4 fails.

I just noticed that Warlords has a pitboss app with it [

I might go out and get Warlords too. Not that I have time right now to play.

If you wanna play Pitboss you don't need that app, you only need it for hosting a match. To play, just use Direct IP connection in the MP menu.

I suppose at some point I should sign up for one of these Pitboss games.

Maybe next year

Give me a chance to get good at Civ again, just about up to crushing the AI on regent on normal civ.

play the latest gotm at cfc, its fairly easy but on emporer level so you'll feel good about crushing everyone
