Swingstars have accepted, so no Snaken-shabba friendly this time.

My challenge to Black Marlins remains unanswered, so I'm looking for another friendly atm.

Shabba. It was all in time, good to see that.

Akots, that sucks man...hope you can arrange one...this has to stop soon. We cannot tolerate players not accepting a friendly.

May I suggest that next time we put the starting date in the "CDZ Cup 9th Edition Draw and Fixtures " thread? Cause, honestly, I didn't had a clue when it would start. I just play against Holly almost every week anyway, so that's lucky.

Good luck to everyone!!!

Indeed. He had me wonder though, I saw he logged in sunday, but he didn't accept the challenge. So monday morning I challenged every mongolian team and their mothers, but when I'd done that, Schip accepted the challenge at 7.10 in the morning. Heh. Anyway, happy with that.

BTW, since the cup always begins in week 7, let's just make it a given that the cup starts in week 7. Not as if it wasn't mentioned enough times in the thread, but now you know for the 10th edition that it'll start in week 6. Errr, I mean 7.

All it takes is a small visit to the tables and fictures thread. If that is too much to ask for some participants, they should IMVHO not compete in this cup.

It looks like Black Marlins is on holiday or something, they suddenly haven't logged in for 10 days...

It's always a pity to see this happening but the first week is notorious for WOs despite all the effort being made to get people aware on when the cup starts. It might be a good idea to pull the moment when registering your team for participation is still possible back in time a bit, as to make sure the draw can be held a week before the actual cup starts. As a good chunk of teams playing aren't very closely tied to CDZ, it might give them more time to find out who they'll be playing when.

Any more WO to be reported so far, besides the 2 already mentioned?

Or we could assign each losely-to-CDZ-tied player one of the more active ones that keep them up to date and remind of the cup every week before the cup starts s.t. they don't forget that they are in. For example, I reminded my two German friends of the cup.

I tried to send everyone playing in the cup that I knew other people hadn't sent a reminder a message via HT, but doing it as you suggest and did (thanks for that) is probably much more effective. Fortunately, we do have quite some teams being connected in some way outside cdz too (for example the Eindhoven connection, or at CFC) so that might help too.

edit: btw, if we only have 2 WOs this first round I think the level of dedication to the cup is actually quite high, considering that we are playing with so many teams, some of which are first-timers.
