You cut off your nose despite your face. It was a symbiotic relationship with as much tech going to you as what was coming back to us. There's no way, as we saw it, you could fight us and stopping the tech deals destroyed any of your chances.
I got 5 of George's cities in a space of 7 turns. We weren't the problem it was always Dave and a little bit of BCLG.

I wonder what would have happened if you had nurtured a relationship with one of the easterners as an ally. Me, BC...just a thought. Someone that could have really benefited from a lesser England or Greece that is.

Whomp, you were the only one researching at the time. And we didn't think that Simon could crank out techs like he did. There was really no choice for us. Either we piss you off and you kill us or we die later to your greater strength.

It was our only choice to stand a chance. It was a gamble and we lost.
