Yes, if I can get Mali or Ghengis Khan (for gameplay reasons) or even Peter or Catherine (for patriotic reasons) but no Elizabeth please. Alexander of the Greeks will be fine as well.

Well, you can choose by yourself as long as it is one of five which I prefer.
And also many people would prefer playing on a premade map, so we are apparently skipping this point which is more important.

I do not care that much which civ I get. I just switched because I have played India quite much in multiplayer.

Well, it probably can be OK with a random map otherwise, the game will never start. Or may be somebody can volunteer to check up the initial resources just to make sure everyone has copper at least. I'm not talking about iron or horses or food or happiness bonus.

Also, I second grs, do not make it a huge map, large map is big enough.
Also, it would be nice to be Monarch and normal speed but whatever the majority wants, I'm Ok with that.
