Overall I think you paid the price for trying to meet him in the middle of the park and with the benefit of hindsight and my own bias (I train wingers!) I would have played at least one offensive winger and probably two wing backs. The former because your midfield would still be much better whilst giving a second attack rating and the later because his attack was pretty poor across the board. |

I am probably going to switch to another training, for winger training do you just use 4 trainees? That seems like a nice option as i can use some of my younger PM trainees.

I am slo thinking about switching to winger training.
I'd be using 4 main trainees (2 of them will be midfielders which get the wing skill afterwards). THe other 4, I plan to buy some defenders which I don't really plan on selling fast and I am rather training for my own team than for selling. Maybe I'll try some skill trading there from time to time or letting strikers play in friendly there for a little upgrade on FTW.

I reached round 8 after beating 3rd division team JTT83. I welcomed 55.000 people in my stadium, a record. Now I have to play against the 11th team of the Netherlands (looking at the ratings), a IInd division team. So if there's no rain I might sell out my 60K stadium.
We once had a discussion that it is easier to have a good cup run as a lowly ranked team, but after several rounds you have to play vs the best teams of your country, which makes it very very difficult. My next opponent had an almost 400 hatstat rating THIS season. My season high is 'only' 344. edit: But.... My midfield ratings were higher this season and I play at home. I am not totally without chances. Last edited by Aggie; 03-06-2010 at 14:30. |

With a MotS and a win I would almost surely get another 400k on spectator income. I can afford a MotS for my league games, so.... indeed why not!

I am even considering a mots to get to a home game. It depends a bit on the result of Sundays match. If I win that means I could still become champion and that would be worth more to me than a next round in the cup, but chances are that I will loose. And that it is a whole different ball game.
