Maybe it's like the Perfectly Normal Beasts in Doug Adams' last book of the Hitchhiker's Series. Spam just comes in from those hills over there and disappear in the valley in the opposite direction. It's not our place to wonder where they come from or where they are going. The Almighty Bob has given them to us, so let's just enjoy Bob's glory.
