Could not load the game in 1.22 so will play in 1.15.

690AD (0)
New York, Washington, Atlanta, Boston and Phil. are Chinese

Not a lot of interesting deals in the market, we can obtain ToG however and we need it for instant defense soon. But it is costly.

Carthage is willing to trade ToG for all contacts, WM and 1719.
Portugal is happy with about half our contacts for an MA vs Iroq.

I still have to do MM, but I am strongly in favor of these 2 trades now. Please comment, it will be about an hour before I go IT. Also if we do the ToG deal I'd like to know if we want to go for Steam ourselves or buy it over time?

EDIT: I do the deals. Carthage has Nat. and Med. as well! Contacts are of less value now so I have to give Henry all contacts and 85 gold. The Iroqs are at war with the whole continent now and have a lot of units near England!

Peace deal with India for 133 + 6gpt (their cash of course ). They get Met. for 18gpt.

Peace with Rome for WM and their cash.

And finally after a lot of HBR to Spain for 16 gold!

Only Cart. has IA techs. All other trades are marginal.

IT:
Starts at 15:22 DST.
C3C dies at 15:38. Going to reboot and run with minimum other progs open.
2nd attempt is running now. We lost 6 units on our home turf + Ergili. Not good for WW.
Build turn is running now.

I say yes to both deals - can we resell at all?

anar, I will check, but there isn't a lot of money in the market. Also, Carthage is rich and big but not a direct treat so for the time being it is ok if they are the beefy ones.

Would you normally abandon / settle in a campaign like the Iroq one?

700AD (1):
Take Akwesasne without losses.
Recapture Ergili.
Eliminate the Iroq cavs in our terr.

No more attacks this turn. With healed troups we can try 1 or 2 next turn.

IT:
Much better this time. Again a couple of Iroq Cav attacks but only a Swiss and a Cav is lost.

Ganogeh flips. In it were a 6 healing troops

710AD (2):
Recapture Ganogeh. No losses.
Capture Oka, there were 3 muskets. No losses. Oka should have been taken much earlier.

Concentrate Swiss build near the Iroq border. We need them there and they don't run fast.

IT:
Iroqs bomb Middelburg and only 1 Cav attacks

No flips

Carthage completes Newton.

720AD (3):
Capture Gayagaahe, the corridor near Delft is much more comfy now.

Iroqs accept a straight peace deal, only are Demo and Econ ahead of us. 6 gold and in Monarchy

Capture Gandesetaigon with Knight and Cav army.

Met. to Mao for WM, 7, 14gpt.

IT:
Iroqs attack Middelburg with 4 Cavs and loose 3. We only loose one Swiss.

No flips. Gayagaahe, defended by one 2/4 Cav is not attacked

Rushed a couple of Cavs last turn. Steam is ours in 11 at -41gpt with 1423 in the pocket.

Beam, unless I need the city to get to the next one in line I would usually raze.

The deciding factor is flip chance, the idea being to put either many or none chances if there is a greater than 2% chance (I am pretty good at looking at it and making a good estimate now, but before that I would use the flip calc).

anar, that is what I am planning to do. Only issue is that there were not many settlers avail when I started. The Iroq cities near our core will be replaced anyway and I tend to abandon the ones in the W once they ain't needed anymore.

730 AD (4):
Capture Tonawanda a get a Leader! No losses.
Capture Oil Spings and loose the Knight Army . Bad dice.

Chat with all AI, Spain is in for a small gpt deal for Rep. India gets Phys for Econ. + WM.

IT:
No flips

Renew Peace Treaty with Carthage, they are our main competitor now.

Iroqs attack with 4 Cav, loose one, us 3.

740 AD (5):
Capture Cattaraugus! Almost can see Salamanca .

In Negotiation we get contact with the Otto's from the Inca. Otto has Music Theory! Of course we make a deal for Lit. and Econ. but only after Otto throws in WM, contact with Mongols, 442g and 24 gpt! He eats PP for 8gpt as well. Mongols are backward and get Lit. for WM.

We make 2994 + 690 selling Music T. and the 2 contatcs to Carthage Sci goes to max.!

Deal with Arabia: Demo + WM for MuT, Chem and contact with Mongols.

Some smaller deals, best one is Edu to Babs for 28gpt.

What a turn, still have to prepare for IT.

Rush Army in R'dam for 1060, feels good to be a big spender. Rush 3 cavs en route for the Army.

Oh, did some other things as well like abandoning and settling, you know the routine

IT:
2 Iroq cavs kill 2 Dutch cavs near Catterug etc. No flips .

750 AD (6):
Capture Kahnawake. Moving to the core.

Lux slider to 3. WW is a REAL issue now. Moving to IT.

IT:
Lose New R'dam to a Cav
Cart. build Smiths. Three cities riot.

760 AD (7):
Recap New Knor.
Capture Tyendenaga.
Capture Skannayutenate, 2 cavs lost.
Meet Hittites and Byz. on the same move. They are on a island N of Rome. Trade early MA techs for WM and cash.

Hannibal knows Sumeria! What a nice coincedence. We trade contacts and meet the remaining AI: Maya, Korea, Aztecs and Germans. Trade old / dead end techs for good cash / gpt and WM. Maya are the most advanced needing Physics.

Trade the 4 new contacts with Hannibal for 1080

IT:
Iroq attack with 5 cavs, we lose 4

No flips.

770 AD (8):
Capture Mauch Chonk.

Get Incense from Germany for Rep.
Get Ivory, WM and 28 cash from Sumeria for Iron.
All luxes are in

No more entertainers, lux back to 20%

Soem good stuff Beam, but how is WW so bad again?

I can't believe that people hit (what must be) at least level 2 WW so quickly.
