Darkness, I was just hoping that your shipment would process nicely, and at the price that they mention on their website. In another thread Shabba told me there would be taxes on top of that... But now I'm almost convinced that you only pay 29 € for the whole stuff, and IMHO we should all do the same (if we want the English edition, which I don't put on top or below the French one). I'm even wondering in what language I'll set it up. I remember using the English language for Civ2 in some games when I was bored with French.
EDIT : And me, I started the GOTM of the French website last night (C3C) and have to finish it before Civ4 as well.

I was going to get it anyways but the crashes are severly limiting the "fun" ATM. A load of eyecandy is delivered by Firaxis but I am wondering at what cost. My machine is fast by many standards but larger games will take even longer to finish then with civ3, if they finish at all... Hoping for a miraclepatch.

Ok, I've got it also finally from Amazon. Will try to install in a couple of hours. If there anything that can be done BEFORE the install to make it run?
It is XP Pro with ATI Radeon 9200 running without catalyst but with latest drivers and also I had to uninstall SP2, so running only with SP1 atm. In background I also have zonealarm (might be turn it off is a good idea?), avast antivirus and spybot-SD teatimer.

Surprizingly, thr game runs just fine (after some editing of the registry), no problems with performance of other issues, off to read the manual.

Not buying it at all was prevented by various little voices in my head.
