Since stapel has apparently been back for some time now, could it be possible to get this game moving again?
I know it is a rough time for PBEMs at the moment with regard to their actual pace, but at least some lifesigns would be appreciated on this one...

Sorry, I guess I indeed have it.
I have troubles with this game. It is by far the most boring PBEM I've ever been involved in. There are three options for me: 1. We declare the Persians as winner 2. We all declare war to the Persians 3. We will seek another player for Japan. I won't click this game on for another 100 turns, just to see nothing special.

Meaning?
Option #1 would be very unsatisfying. If you think someone is the unavoidable winner, then let it be shown. Concerning option #2, the only thing I can say is that I've been very surprised not to have seen any action since Egypt is eliminated. ERIKK, Kemal and/or ProPain ought to get into action!! It's not up to me to attack anyone, not on my own. But when there's a battle, you can count me in.

Whatever might or might not happen between me, erikk and pp on the eastern continent, the argument that because the game is unsatisfying in whatever form to you atm really is an imho somewhat egocentric and disappointing approach, and frankly put I simply cannot understand why it is too much to ask to simply spend a few minutes on this game and send it on, especially considering the very relaxed approach the participants have given this game over the last few years with regard to the turn pace.
Stating that the game is boring because other players are more powerful and they are not doing what you want them to do is more or less putting those players at fault for the fact that you think the game is uninteresting, while in reality each player is responsible for his own empire and enjoyment of the game. If you want to quit, fine, but don't blame Persia or any other eastern civ for the fact that you don't like to play this game, please.

I think you think to lightly about this, Kemal. Who could replace him? Who hasn't read all the spoilers?
You're basicly telling him to leave with the words you use. I prefer a little more consistency in the leaderships (thus foreign policies). That said, you're right it can't be that hard to spend just a few minutes a day (at max) to this game.
