After my first JW moves a bit, Erikk decides to found Hippo just in the movement line of my approaching JW's. His idea of defense: 1 warrior. I think that's kinda tricky even while he only saw 1 jw moving about.
128.18*KB Off course the sight of 3 JW's worries Erik. He offers me 50 gold for a 20 turn peace. we haggle a bit he finally offers 50 gold, 2gpt and literacy for an 11 turn deal. I refuse this too. It's too much advantage for him, I can now raze a city and force him into a useless GA. I might even pillage some tiles and ruin his GA even more. I attack Hippo. 1 jw lost, 2 hurt. bit much damage for just one warrior, but it's all in the game. 129.92*KB I later kill the warrior near the mountain with elite JW, it loses just one health. My wounded 1/3 JW impales itself on NuMe near Leptis even taking out 1 HP from the merc before it dies. Welcome in the useless GA erik.

turn 57
I take look at f11 to see the impact of Erikk's golden age 30.99KB It pretty much looks like nothing has changed. So either his GA isn't helping him or maybe he did have it earlier after all. War against egypt maybe?? Next turn I'll check the captured workers, could tell me a bit more. The french gor Horseback Riding, no one else has it and they refuse to sell. The french are on my hitlist and I was planning to take their closest city in two turns when I have 5 JW's ready, now I'm in doubt. I establish an embassy in Paris to see what Joan is up to. 115.09KB Only 1 spear, building settler (will that move unprotected?) not connected the horses yet. I've got Polytheism due in 6 turns, I can wait for that, trade poly for HR and attack. or just attack right away. I'll wait to next turn when I can take a better look at the 2nd city.

Waited for Polytheism, planned to attack France afer trading Poly. 3 turns before poly some AI's have mathmatics, 1 turn later some have literature too. Also MM shows up
I deal poly for lit & mapmaking or maths with korea. I check Erik. He doenst have poly or maths but he does have literature. I trade literature around but try to keep poly to myself to keep it expensive. I get the lit, maths, MM and WM and cash out of poly. NOt bad. Erik has 4 cities, one more in the direction of the Egyptians. No iron for him in sight, no horses hooked up yet. After the trading I attack France, Lyons (iirc) falls with the first JW. Next turn I move 6 JW's to Paris, it falls the next turn. Erik MSN's that I'm 'worse than Killer' Meanwhile the was against Erik isnt leading anywhere much. Basically I'm annoying him and making expanding harder, but I've got not enough JW's to do serious damage. I plan to send 5 over form the Paris attack. That way I'll have 9 and maybe I can pillage a bit. It doenst matter if I lose some, they're cheap anyway. Meanwhile I can build settlers in my first 2 cities, they have grnaries and I switch between military and settlers. I've hooked up horses and plan to make horsemen and settlers. So I can expand with settlers and annoy Erik with horsemen. If I can prevent him from expanding quickly then things will keep looking good. I'll take some screenies tonight and post em tomorrow.

Wish I could but I have Horseback Riding. Got that in the polytheism trade round.
I'm still in doubt if I should upgrade those JW's to swords soon. I would love the extra 'firepower' but hate losing the extra movement. But a 10 swords SoD might have it's advantage too.

Against ERIKK you may have to upgrade to cause city damage, although you will always want a few for pillaging / picking off weak units, etc.
