Mexico pushed Argentina more than I had expected. Good effort

Yup, fuuuuuuck!
The very first time ever that I was for Holland - especially after Figo's attack by head-ramming (what an arsehole). And what happenes? The better team loses.

I suppose it was a very entertaining match to watch for foreigners.

Oh yes, entertaining, that's the right word.
What a game, but I was for Portugal after that brutal kick from Boulahrouz which set it all off. If he hadn't kicked out C.Ronaldo with that, or would have seen the deserved red card, the game wouldn't have gone that brutal way. The referee must have forgotten that he can give a red card directly, he must show some of those...

Entertaining ? In a sense, yes. But really, what a pathetic show last night. Fortunately, the chaos at the end of the match and the referee had no big impact on the logical outcome : Portugal getting through. They were better overall. And I feel sorry for you NL guys, but your team has been a real disappointment, both in foobtall and behaviour. I had somehow thought they reached their limits, football-wise.

krys, compared to that just plain boring match before (Eng-Ecu), that was really entertaining.
Even the football they played was much better than Eng-Ecu. But you are absolutely right, the behaviour of both teams was amateur-like.

Like watching a train crash in slow motion - fascinating but horrible.
