Rita gave me a tentative OK for the 4th, on the condition that her health must be fine.

I hope I can come up with a final date this week. Problem is I have to undergo some minor surgery and I don't know when this will be planned and I'm told I have to count on a few days of rest to recover from the anaesthesia. I hope to get a date this week so I can planmy other stuff (including CDZ meeting around this)

What do I know, but.......

Minod surgery = partial paralisation = back running within 24 hours. Worked for me twice.

Depends on how strong a painkiller you need (and don't play the tough guy, that's really stupid!), and how good your doc is. If he/she overdoses the painkiller, you'll be dizzy, if you get too little, the pain will make you incapable of doing things right.

My nasal septum surgery was a typical case for Germany: they gave me paracetamol. That's simply insufficient. Rita gave me more adequate things, but it took her two days to work out the perfect dosis, one that kept me free of pain and mentally fully awake.

Well I;m scheduled for operation next monday and opted for partial paralisation. Will know more about being sedated accurately afterwards during the next week. They told me to keep the paracetamol ready, so German model seems to apply here too.

Furthermore it seems my holiday to Spain will be end of octobre, but I'll know that for sure tonight. So allthis mean that so far we're good on the 4th which seems the most popular option.

4th of octobre is good!

Our office network is capable of connecting 20 comps so we should be good on that front. In the unlikely, but cheerful, event more than 20 people show up, I can always connect another router. I;m not sure my office pc's are capable of running cIV (depends on the graphic cards) but I'll try to install it on one soon. If the office pc's arent good enough it would be appreciated if some of you would bring laptops. I estimate I can provide 3 laptops myself.

Apart from Network CIV there's a Wii here so you can play tennis/guitar hero/Wii fit and other games. I'll also bring my Civ III boardgame so we can play that as well.

I would like to know who will be here so I can talk to the catering guy for our diner

Sounds like a lot of fun...Sadly, that weekend will probably not be fitting in my plans.

But maybe next time...
