Ana refused to eat twice in her life. We told her to go play. The next day she ate what we had available. Battling the wills of a 2 yo is tough but if you give them any ground they'll eat you alive.

Ana loves money. But she likes to put it in her piggy bank and then take the piggy bank to the real bank once it's full. She has ~ $700 to her name from saving money like that and b-day gifts and such.

The food is not the problem, being fed is. She'll eat anything and in large quantities as well. As long as she can eat it herself. Give a potato: no problem. put a potato on a spoon: she'll slap away the spoon or just take the potato of the spoon and put it in her mouth by herself.

All in all, no big problem. Very convenient even that me and Monique can now just eat instead of eat and feed. Problem is that some food is hard to pick up. Floor likes rice, but she eats it grain by grain, which takes ages.

Distraction works. Obviously she cant eat yoghurt, which she loves, by hand so we'll give her a spoon and feed her with another one. Very funny as she tries to eat with her own empty spoon as well.

Try Pandan rice, and roll little balls of it before it gets on the plate!! works wonders.

@KR: hehe, being the indonesian food fan I am I tried that. Works partly, but she starts picking the balls apart after a while. Must be a phase cause everything she gets her hands on is neatly disassembled. Anything I build in duplo is taken apart to all the individual blocks. Yesterday's meatball at diner was also picked apart. All in a very non-violent, concentrated manner. \

@Energy: lol, she's a fast learner then

Unfortunately these phases can last quite long. I still remember my younger brother taking apart every Lego building I built for at least 5-6 years running...

lol, we had some remarks about this from the daycare center as well. She likes to 'help' the older kids when they play with the duplo but obviously her help isnt appreciated very much being of the non-constructive kind.

Understatement of the year?

I still remember that it was incredibly frustrating. When you're 8 years old it is extremely annoying to have your 6 year old brother "play" that the huge castle that you just built is under siege and ends up being conquered and leveled to the ground...
