It's a slick OS, and everything is Apple approved, so mostly it just works. However, that plus is also a minus, because needing Apple approval for everything restricts what's available. That being said, if all you are doing is surfing the web, emailing, and home finances, I don't think you'll have any problem with a Mac and in fact, will probably like it quite a lot. Your wallet most likely won't, but that's another story.

yeah, that's the part that sucks. Sherry's medical bills got up there this year (> $4k). Our current computer is doing fine, I just wanted to start researching other options before I need to buy one. WinXP has been fine and stable for me. I've just don't like Vista.
