Oh dear, and these sales go on until Jan 2. I must stop looking.

Hegemony: Philip of Macedon $3, done
I'd also jump on Left for Dead 2, but I don't know if I'd ever get the chance to play since it's not kid appropriate. |

Very curious how Hegemony is, reviews weren't that good and that's what kept me from buying it.

How are zombies not kid appropriate? You've got to prepare your offspring for the zombie apocalypse. I think there's an option to turn gore off. Oh, and there's a free demo.

Ok, ok, LfD2 and the zombies are just fine for 7 year old boys to see rushing towards them on a computer screen. Do you babysit? Would you like to sit with them till they fell asleep at 3AM on a Tuesday?
btw, I see Furiey and ProPain have shatter. It's only $2.50 right now, is it any good? Last edited by grahamiam; 31-12-2010 at 02:16. Reason: :p, not :P |

Shatter is good old break out with a twist. It's an ok game but I wouldn't pay more than 2.50 for it. Very kid suitable but I find some levels pretty challenging.
Then again, maybe kids have better reflexes than I do and will cruise through those levels thinking the game is too easy.

Europa Universalis (5€ )
This is a nice and deep strategy game and at 5 euro it's really cheap. Biggest problem with EU III is the manual: it fails to explain how the game works resulting in frustration for EU noobs (like myself when I bought it) When you invest some time and get the hang of it, it really is a nice game. Well worth the 5 euro.

Yeah, Shatter is a modern breakout game. Too quick at times for my ageing reflexes! Worth it on sale, I wouldn't play full price.
I had been wondering about EU III and Hegemony, but after playing Plants v Zombies to the early hours I must try and resist... |

I bought Left4Dead for £7.50. After having missed a previous sale of £3.25.

Re EUIII: I've bought HoI2 but could never really spend enough time on it. For $5, I probably can't go wrong, but I've read that it really needs "Heir to the Throne", which is... only $5 too. Hmm, credit card getting warmer.... |
