What is wrong with the terrain? The war must have started out warriors vs. Skirmishers for you so when you said I was dead I took your meaning as that, a number of skirmishers vs. a warrior.

nah it was axes vs archers.

I meant the map being water rich seemed to limit exploration unless where I am is the exception. And yeah I like my terrain except for a bit of desert.

I've got to say that there are two piss poor starting positions that I know of on this map. I got one of them, and my neighbor got the other. So those of you who have 4 or more cities already, don't be surprised when you come home and find that you've been booted from the game out of pure spite
