Right before Plux asked me to take over, he had cancelled the deal between him and Matrix. Fair enough, but it wasn't anticipated that Robi's Japenese would team up with Matrix' Groningers. From that moment (somewhere between 1000 and 500 BC??), I have fought some bloody battles with both Matrix and Robi. What I only learnt later, is that NHJ was effectively out of this war, until 500 AD, due to a nasty "Friedendiktat", forced on him by Matrix and Robi.

But now it is 500 AD. Beware for the Stapel-NHJ juggernauth!

Will Matrix make it to 700 AD? Or won't he? The cities of Groningen, Hoogezand and Appingedam have already been added to the Egyptian empire!

Frieden is German for Peace. Diktat is German for "what is dictated". The correct word is Friedensdiktat, btw. It is used in Germany for the 1919 peace of Versailles, which was simply a peace deal the Germans had to accept. In Dutch history books, the word is usually not translated.

Anyway, when it became clear that I was facing 2 enemies, I have contacted NHJ. He told me that he was engaged in a war with both you and Matrix earlier, and that the resulting peace deal involved peace until 500AD. Admittedly, I made it up that this was forced on him. However, it must be said it was quite a convinience for you that I wasn't able to get any help, soon.
