France has been very disappointing. Almost inexistant during the 2nd half. And once again Barthez saves our balls ! But I'm pretty disgusted. Almost shameful in front of you all.
Brazil was quite impressive on offense but played it cool. Ronaldinho is amazing but not enough playing with his team. Croatia was a real challenger, they'll get through.

What was most disapointing about france was that for quite a bit of the time they simply didnt look like scoring- Switzerland had the closest chances.
World cup fact--hasnt been a penalty so far

I didn't see South Korea vs. Togo (I did see Advocaat's comments though ), but the France vs. Switzerland and the Croatia vs. Brazil game were very disappointing to me. France looked awkward, like the system the coach has them playing just doesn't suit them. Henry looked like he was all alone in the world. No support whatsoever. Brazil looked uninspired, to say the least. They only won because of the individual qualities of Kaka and Ronaldinho. Ronaldo looks fat, lazy and slow. Bench him now! Robinho at least provided energy when he came on for Ronaldo...

Don't bash on Brazil, they were playing only with 10 players for the first 70 minutes until the coach finally took Ronaldo off the pitch...
France and Brazil didn't impress me, sad that Croatia seemed to not believe in their chance to beat those lazy guys. And non-Fair-Play by Alex Frei was punished. If he hadn't tried to put the ball into the net with his hands, his teammate would have surely scored that goal in overtime. So, no one by now really played like a World Champion. I think, the Czech were closest to that. But at least that looks promising for thrilling matches to come...

What is playing like a World Champion like ? I can't remember a team which became World Champion and which dominated the tournament in every sector of the game. Brazil aren't that good in defense. France's victory in 1998 was epic, to say the least (like in 2000).

Such a shame Croatia didn't score. Before the match I thought Brasil would overrun Croatia (as well as Japan and Australia later on). Now it seemed Croatia had lots of chances, which makes it actually quite disappointing that they didn't score. But at least Japan and Australia have a chance against them.
It was said on Dutch tv that the problem of France is that they have a lot of vedette's who all think they are the hero, while they need to be more of a team player. Sorry krys, but I couldn't agree with you less: Ronaldinho was, contrary to France, a real team player, passing the ball on as quickly as possible, unless he had no one to pass it on to. I was actually positively surprised that Ronaldinho didn't want to show his football art.
