TheKoCUtility - a new beginning
Here is the new almost legitmate version of KoCUtility... Now rebranded as 'TheKoCUtility' and without any cookie refrences, when installed windows will recognise it as a different program than the old version (meaning you can have them installed side-by-side although you can only use one at a time). Note, I will no longer be supporting the old version and all future work will be on this version. The big change is that I have implemented a permissions system, when the program loads it finds a permissions file on a server somewhere and checks you are permitted to use the program, if not or if it fails then it shuts down the program. The basic user level removes the timer function from the shop screens and sets the hunter timer at 5s minimums. There are higher user levels, user2 is reserved for whatever I think of later, user3 is full functionality as we know it now (timer in shop asisstant for auto-buying and 1s minimums on the hunter timer. Right now everyone at CDZ is set as just 'user' - this is because I would like the permission stuff tested by someone other than me. Once I have confirmation from you lot that you cannot access the auto-buyer (or tell it exists) then I will set you as user3 and start thinking about who else gets to use it! No big deal, but apparently some download fails when the splash screen comes up. It's probably from a site that's blocked from the firewall here at work. No problem though. The old one has been working fine all morning. I'll just have to use the new one at home only

no but here is what happens when I start it.
The splash screen comes up and no button is on the task bar After about 30 seconds, this button comes up on the task bar After I right-click and close it, this comes up. NOte that that last screen needs to be closed by the Task Manager in order to exit out as the control button in the upper-right doesn't respond nor does right-clicking the button in the task bar and selecting close. It's prolly an issue with not being able to get around the firewall, but I thought that I'd let you see what was happening just in case it was sumpin else. It works great at home

weird shit. I will try and make it so if the version check errors out it recovers (kind of thought it would do that already but i've no doubt forgot to put something in a error trap)... if you get the same issue on the permissions check (made on the same server) then it will have to dump you out else it would be trivial to circumvent the permissions Let me release a new version with an attempted fix and if it still fails I can probably give you some kind of secret workaround |

no worries... the old version is fine for work. If it stops working then I guess I'll have to stop running 0 DA
