Aggie - Beam *spoiler*
This demigod game has me with the Sumerians and Beam with the Celts.
I moved SE in my first move towards the foodplains. But now I miss the sugar... 42.48KB |

Turn 28:
I still have 2 cities and met the Dutch, the Portuguese, the Americans and the Aztecs. I discovered Iron Working and I was the first. The other civs have at least 5 techs over me. -The Aztecs give Masonry, Alphabet, Ceremonial Burial and 6 gold -The Dutch pay Masonry and 27 gold -America gives Warrior Code for the tech plus 22 gold -Portugal wants it for 15 gold, which is absurd No civ I know has a tech over me now. Next tech gambit: Math. My land at the moment: 72.26*KB |

Turn 44:
I disover Mathematics. Trading is possible with all civs, but Beam: -Dutch: Writing, Horsebackriding and 75 gold for Math -America: Mysticism and 101 gold for Math -Aztecs: 50 gold for Math -Arabia: 25 gold for HBR Next tech will be Literature |

Turn 56:
I discover Literature as first of them all. I still hven't met Beam, but I know the rest of the world: The Dutch have CoL as a monopoly and that leaves a lot to be desired regarding trading... Turn 57: Portugal and the Dutch now have both Map Making and CoL The trades: -Portugal gives Map Making and 15 gold for Literature -The Dutch give CoL for Literature and 135 gold -America gives Poly for Map Making and 10 gold -Arabia gives 50 gold for CoL -China wants Math for 28 gold Let's see if the race for currency succeeds as well. |

Indeed, no Philo yet. But I don't think that it would be clever to go for it now...

Well it would have been clever to go for it instead of Literature
But thats with hindsight, I would have probably not gone for it myself either

Only know do I see that Philo gives a free tech. I went for Lit because it is impopulair and important for me, being the only scientific civ...
Philo is not known by the AI yet, but switching now would be very foolish. |
