Not recently, not asking for reset for some time. Maybe, turn it off somehow.

I'm permanently logged in and I also know my password.

I've only come across it when I'm using mod/admin tools. It goes like this: change the password, login, new pw isn't recognised for the mod action yet I'm logged in. If I wait a long time then everything is back to normal (with a new pw). What makes it more annoying is that the "wrong password failed logins" mean that at some point I get the "too many failed logins" cooldown period, which is annoying.
In itself it's not that horrible, but the fact that it's happening seems to point at some underlying issues. And that's worrisome.

Same as stupid.
Except when I clear cookies or reinstall OS of course, but no problem there as well.

Make two threads in your own subforum, and try to merge them. I think the site will ask you to confirm your identity by entering your password. I don't think it'll matter if you remembered tour password, the site will simply claim it to be the wrong password.

Did you have to enter a password?

Does your password contain non-alphanumeric characters like /\|@# ? Those aren't always processed correctly. Specially @ in a password is tricky.
