Winger Training
So I was thinking of switching to winger training, Currently I have been training PM for the better part of my hattrick career but I think it's time for a change with the value of PM's increasingly decreasing.
Would someone mind explaining the basics of winger training to me/direct me to some articles which might be informative? As I think i'm pretty secure in my league now I've begun a process of overhauling my team and getting rid of a number of players I don't need/getting old

There's one thing important about wingers: they need to be quick. Whatever attributes they have, if they are quick you can sell them with a lot of profit. Otherwise PM is nice, but it's mainly about wing (obviously). What you could do is buy two 20 y.o. PM with passable wing for your first team, so you have a good midfield next season. By the end of the season these guys could've popped (almost) twice, so you have a decent wing attack as well. For your second team, just go with the youngest you can find. PM isn't important here. Wing neither, even if you can get them at passable wing you can still make a profit. How? Sell them before they're 18.

With the new updates is it worth keeping the majority of my PM trainees then and simply transferring them to the wing? (selling those wingers I had also been training as PM's)
Here are the 6 main ones I have so far; 6. İsmail Hepşen [1 booking accumulated] Has weak experience and weak leadership abilities. 24 years and 7 days, TSI = 144 790 In passable form, excellent stamina. Has weak experience and weak leadership abilities. Keeper: 1/20 disastrous Defending: 5/20 inadequate Playmaking: 17/20 mythical Winger: 3/20 poor Passing: 3/20 poor 7. Pentti Siljamäki [1 booking accumulated] Has weak experience and poor leadership abilities. 24 years and 1 days, TSI = 103 940 In inadequate form, solid stamina. Has weak experience and poor leadership abilities. Keeper: 1/20 disastrous Defending: 4/20 weak Playmaking: 16/20 extra-terrestrial Winger: 3/20 poor Passing: 6/20 passable Scoring: 4/20 weak Set pieces: 4/20 weak 9. Nikola Tushev Has inadequate experience and poor leadership abilities. 24 years and 17 days, TSI = 72 910 In solid form, excellent stamina. Has inadequate experience and poor leadership abilities. Keeper: 1/20 disastrous Defending: 6/20 passable Playmaking: 15/20 titanic Winger: 3/20 poor Passing: 5/20 inadequate Scoring: 3/20 poor Set pieces: 4/20 weak 20. Gianrico Ribaldone [1 booking accumulated] 21 years and 2 days, TSI = 39 370 In solid form, excellent stamina. Has wretched experience and weak leadership abilities. Keeper: 1/20 disastrous Defending: 3/20 poor Playmaking: 13/20 world class Winger: 4/20 weak Passing: 3/20 poor Scoring: 6/20 passable Set pieces: 6/20 passable 19. Arthur Oppenrod [1 booking accumulated] 20 years and 19 days, TSI = 17 610 In passable form, solid stamina. Has wretched experience and poor leadership abilities. Keeper: 1/20 disastrous Defending: 4/20 weak Playmaking: 12/20 magnificent Winger: 5/20 inadequate Passing: 2/20 wretched Scoring: 4/20 weak Set pieces: 5/20 inadequate 20 years and 2 days, TSI = 19 310 In solid form, solid stamina. [Head] Has wretched experience and inadequate leadership abilities. Keeper: 1/20 disastrous Defending: 4/20 weak Playmaking: 12/20 magnificent Winger: 2/20 wretched Passing: 4/20 weak Scoring: 2/20 wretched Set pieces: 3/20 poor I'll keep the first 3 for my midfield anyway as my first 3 IM's. Then i assume i need 4 wing trainees? or are there more training spots I am not aware of? The only issue with them 6 is that none of them have 'quick'.

A specialty is worth a lot more in wingers. Heading is OK, iirc there's some special event with that as well. Quick is not really a must, but if you buy new trainees I would definately pick up only quick guys.
Actually there are two different kinds of winger training: one that also trains wingbacks and one that also trains forwards. The first one has 4 training spots, the second one 5. Obviously the first one is faster. WB get 50% of the training, I don't know about the forwards. I think nobody does. So you could pick up some defenders (without quick!) as well. Or forwards, whatever tickles your fancy.

It was an option with the old system while with the new system, it all depends on the league. I wish everyone would have your attitude. But if you face divine players in the league, it makes life complicated.
