*** Paalikles vs Ginger_Ale 2 *** DIED
Our second PBEM against each other, and this time I'm ready for revenge.
Settings: Continents, Monarch, Standard Map, Everything Normal. I'm the elite samurai of Japan and Paalikles is either the <s>Chinese</s> or French. Additional Rules: No more than one MA against the human at a time by the other human. No SGLs SoZ does not require Ivory and produces Horsemen, not ACs I'll post my screenshot when the game starts - thanks to KingReno for the map. My goal: backstab Paalikles, beatup the AI, and win. Easier said than done. A little note: never trust Paalikles. He's a sneaky player who will do anything to win (then again, everyone at CDZ is). |

3950 BC - Turn 1
50.43KB Nice! It's settler factory time - only problem: Paal has Industrious trait, so he can get his up running faster due to his superior workers. No matter. Goal: a couple of warriors, then settler, granary, and expand, while keeping a good amount of defense. Production set to warrior, 5 turns. Worker moved onto cow to the NW, and settled in spot with the settler. Growth in 7, Bronze Working (then Iron Working for Samurai) in 20 turns at max. I want to meet AI civs early on and trade trade trade. |

Yes, yes, I know that. I should've said Iron Working for Iron for Samurai.

Paal and I just finished a 5-turn session now. Here's what happened:
* I settled my second city by some BGs and a river. It can use one of the capital's cows if the capital gets to size 1. * I researched Bronze Working, and am heading for Iron Working. * I popped a hut. Result: * I popped another hut and got maps (you can't see my new maps in the screenshot). I got maps of the Korean lands of whom I will meet next turn. I know their land but I can't talk to them. My lands of 3100 BC: Red Circle: A luxury, maybe spices or dyes, I can't tell (could also be silks). Green circle: Horses! My world: http://img203.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img2...d3100bc6xh.jpg PS: How do I get links to work so I can have "My World" be linked?? |

Turn 20, 3000 BC:
I met the Koreans - we traded a little bit: 11.3KB A worker will help me improve my lands. I want to hook up the Ivory in my lands asap. The Koreans have a decent start with a cow and a dye (maybe more, I don't know yet). Perhaps they will face the wrath of my Samurai first. |

Turn 23: I met the Incans to the north of Korea. I have the Wheel up on them, but am down some techs. I tried to get Pottery to no avail. Perhaps when I learn Iron Working (13 turns) we can trade something. Paal is leading by 2 points.

Recent turn...2670 BC: Met the Indians to my NW and traded The Wheel + 5 gold for Pottery. Changed my prebuild in Kyoto to a Granary to pump out settlers.

Turn 31: We finish Iron Working.
We trade it for Masonry, Warrior Code, and 51 gold with the Indians. The Inca wouldn't accept the deal, so I don't think they know each other. I'm now ahead of the AIs except for India, who I'm tied in techs with. I have Iron to my west, by the horses, as well as Incense to the south. I've started research on Mathematics. |

So you going to be doing some war mongering in this game? This is going to be quite interesting.
