Default Looking to play a couple of PBEMs

Hi

Been getting involved in a couple of team democracy games and now I want to try some more PBEMs. I've had C3C for awhile but only started playing it more recently and have progressed towards winning my first Monarchy game on my first attempt. I would quite like to play a game with perhaps 4 players and then a 1-1 as well. I will register on the ladder if it is neccessary.

He Dell19, you are also CFC Dell19 and playing ISDG with GCA isn't it? Nice to have you here as well.

If you want we can play a 1vs1, what level you want to play on?

Sure, where do we start a game thread and do we post a message for each turn that is completed? Regent or Monarchy would probably be sensible. What would the rules be and number of civs? Also do you want to have this as a ladder game, probably makes sense

AAnd yes I am Dell19 from CFC, thought I would use the same name.

Well, you are in the right forum asking for opponents. What we usually do is discuss the PBEM we want to play here, when we've agreed on the type of map post a request in the Mapmaking forum. It really is to you and me how we want to play our PBEM.

First of all Difficulty level Monarch ok with you?

Then I suggest we agree on type of map, after that which Civ we both play. We also should discuss which rules we want to be in effect, I prefer a minimum set but any suggestions from you are welcome!

I don't mind since this is my first proper PBEM. If you post the rules then I will just post if I have any possible disagreements. Monarchy is fine

Monarch it will be We have something like a base set of rules, imo we can agree on that later.

Lets start with the map, I recommend small or standard with 4 AI for small and 6 AI for standard. Also pangea maps usually give a faster gameplay than archipelago, continents being in the middle. Small of course is faster than standard.

Feel free to make your choice Dell!

Pangea sounds good and we could go for a standard map with 6 AI.

Also we need to discuss patches. It looks like everyone will be moving to 1.22 soon so it makes sense to start the game with that patch. Hopefully this game will not start before the MTDG at GC upgrades.

On the patch, please read this: http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/to...?TOPIC_ID=1680

I would have to make a special install of 1.22 so would prefer 1.15. Unless you already patched to a higher one in which case I will need a 2nd install anyway.

Civ choice: many ways we can do that, the simplest is both of us just stating our preference . Looking at the list I'd like to play India, just because I can't recall when I played India last time.
