They're funny over there
I posted a sensitive message at that other site 2 days ago, and a mod wasn't happy about it. Here is the thing I got in my PM box and the replies that followed (edited so as to have him in red, me in blue, quotes in italic).

Holy shit, a point system for policy infractions. How many points for the death penalty?
krys, I don't know the related posts or subject but you should have noticed that even on this site where you can shit / piss / fuck almost everything that comes to mind we are extremely carefull about what gave you your points. Your intentions may have been good but you could have expected this. Nevertheless: a point system for policy infractions, they made a deal with Oracle for the database?

Me think not. You're guilty of suggesting someone to crack Windows.
You could say it wouldn't matter whether you're doing so or not (since I don't think Microsoft will hunt you down or anything), but zero tolerance is zero tolerance.

And yea, they have a point system these days. 8 points is a one week ban; 15 points two weeks; 30 points one month; 60 points permanent. Very handy: now we don't need to keep track ourselves how often and for what charges people have been warned or banned.

Thunderfall is actually friendly and a very reasonable person IMHO or as far as my experience tells.
But rules of forum are rules of forum and you have to respect them. IMHO, your comment obviously violated them as Turner pointed that out. Whatever is the thingy with infarctions or infractions, it is rather cool. And Microsoft sucks. Just like as Meli said.

krys, although I understand why you wrote that post in the first place, I think the mods acted ok here. Zero tolerance for Piracy even counts for evil products.
But that point system is funny. Now we can all advertise cracking windows once and know we don't get a ban, just 3 points...
