hehe. I can't even remember what I said at the UN, but my job involves so many things I could have said anything to do with software, or could you be refering to my Maths degree?
Regarding the puzzle - a mate of mine gave it to several people at work to solve because he had it for 3 days and couldn't work it out. I was lost on it for a very long time - coming back to it several times over the last couple of days, and
eventually had an epiphany and 'saw' the answer.
If you want I can give a clue - the answer has something to do with one or more of the following:
Position, direction and length.
