That leads us to 1985, about the time he went nuts. Still, another 2 albums that were pretty good afterwards : Bad and Dangerous.
I'm not a fan (was a long, long, long time ago), but I reckon he is a good singer and a pretty awesome dancer, as well as a fine composer. I checked some live performances last night (and will continue a little bit) ; he is so full of energy on stage, delivers impressive series of dance bits (moonwalk, and that strange bending on "Smooth Criminal") and holds the stage all by himself. Downsides include too much of special effects for just some music and dancing, and too much playback (I just hate playback).
And of course, Off The Wall and Thriller are just huge in parties.
