You should also MOVE the "saves" folder in the conquests dir first to somewhere else! Move it back to the 1.15 version after, since the saves dir can be MASSIVE, and there is no need to copy it at all. Make sure to create a new "saves" dir in the 1.22 branch, and also an "Auto" dir if you want auatosaves to appear.
When you upgrade games move from the 1.15 saves dir to the new saves dir in the 1.22 install...
And to "fix" the shortcuts, just create one to each version of the Conquests.exe. No need to reboot, am not sure why you would need to, even as Sky suggests...
A final note: If your desktop is on a differnt drive to your install you REALLY don't want to have to copy it there and back! Just select the "CivIII" folder in the left hand side of explorer, then do copy on "conquests" dir in the right hand side and "paste". It will automatically be called "copy of conquests", which you can then just rename to "conquests115".
